The Leadership Team is responsible for business strategy and planning and oversees all the activities of the Foundation.

Wiam Fahim

North Africa Hub Lead

Wiam FAHIM,  was a co-founding partner in 2005 of the 2WLS Company, a leader and specialized in Customer Relationship management. Wiam was responsible for the implementation of the development strategy of 2WLS - Bilendi in Morocco and internationally, particularly on the continent and in the Middle East (7 countries: Kenya, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Uganda, Egypt, Senegal, Gabon). She piloted the project to obtain CFC (Casablanca Finance City) status in March 2020. Status which confirms the strategic positioning of 2WLS in Africa. Wiam held the position of Director of Operations and Marketing for 9 years before taking responsibility for the development of the international activity in 2014. Wiam has over 20 years’ experience, and was a member of the Center for Young Leaders in Morocco for 7 years and a member of the scientific committee of the latest editions of Hub Africa with a Gender and Digital focus.

Georges Foaleng

Central Africa Hub Lead

Founder of the Nigerian fintech Foalengs (www.foalengs.com), Georges has an MBA and is a member of the Regulatory Exchange Knowledge (University of Cambridge). As a keynote speaker, he has participated in insightful summits including the Africa Digital Finance Summit (Kenya, February 2021) and Africa Digital Week (Bulgaria, March 2021). He has written a few articles on the blockchain industry, such as “The Regulation of Blockchain: From Monetary Monoculture to Monetary Ecosystem” in AFSIC-Investing in Africa, https://www.afsic.net/knowledge /; London, United Kingdom, October 2020. Through his research, Georges Foaleng discusses the possibility of issuing crypto-currencies by social communities. His company is committed to the fintech revolution in Africa through two main products: the digitalization of financial risk management and the migration of traditional business infrastructure to the blockchain model.

Euclides Manuel

Southern Africa Hub Lead

Founder of the Bitcoin Community Angola, the largest and most active crypto community in Angola with more than 8 thousand members, where they organize events and create educational content on the universe of cryptocurrencies for the Angolan Community. In addition, he is also Founder/ CEO of Yetubit Exchange, an Angolan exchange under construction designed to be launched in the 2nd Semester of 2021.

Alakanani Itireleng

Southern Africa Hub Lead

Founder of Satoshi Centre, a Bitcoin startup accelerator and incubator in Gaborone, Botswana. She is also a founder of Plaas (plaas.io) a blockchain-based platform for farmers. Alakanani dreams of decentralization and financial freedom in the hands of the people. Satoshi Centre is home to decentralisation. They aim to one day empower blockchain startups around Africa.

Irene Kiwia

East Africa Hub Lead

Irene Kiwia is a champion for social economic development for Africa, whose career spans over 17 years in Media, Marketing, Communications, Technology and Development Programs that are focused on youth and women empowerment. Irene takes a vision and makes it a reality through sound strategy development. She intuitively sees the threads of opportunity that wind through an organization, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking and drives implementation to impact advantage. She is an inspirational leader who tells stories that inspire action while at the same time is grounded in the reality of resources that levers progress. Respected as a credible voice in decision making; a champion in finding strategic partners; and a visionary in how she perceives the future. Irene is a master at integrating innovation in all that she does and has earned a seat at the table wherever she serves. Irene who is a mom of three, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Dar es Salaam, and an MBA in Marketing from the same institution.

Jean Claude MANIRAFASHA

Jean Claude MANIRAFASHA, CEO of Bright Future Contracting Company Ltd, Holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering From University of Rwanda, a Rwandan Engineer 29Years Old. He is a Founder of an techcompany with an agritech project named Smart Irrigated Akarima and he founded an Africa Digital Internship Linkage Platform. Jean Claude got various Awards like Youthconnekt Award  sponsored by UNDP 2019, Young Entrepreneur Award | Rwanda 2021, MTN Yolo Hackathon Award 2021, DOT Youth Street Team Seed Fund and Participated in Africa Blockchain Incubation Program-Made in Rwanda. Jean Claude MANIRAFASHA has a passion in innovation, technology and entrepreneurship towards a brighter future of himself, Rwandan Youth and Africa. Eric Anan

West Africa Hub Lead

Eric Annan is an established Entrepreneur, Founder Institute Alumni, certified YC Startup School, currently undergoing 16 weeks Conscious Venture Labs Cohort 7. Blockchain Educator, and African Advocate adept with the sense of ideating new business and finding market opportunities. Having travelled to seventeen African countries over the years, he experienced first-hand the various problems the African financial system is faced with. Eric was co-founder and CEO of KuBitX Limited, - a technology company that offers cross-border value transfer solutions. Eric is also the owner of Digitalkudi.com, - cryptocurrency trading platform in Nigeria and Ghana. Adinkrahene Consult is his newly established consulting firm that specializes in helping businesses to innovate across Africa using technology. A Pan-African by right, he has a proven track record in taking significant change initiatives with a deep sense of urgency to improve the underperforming economic structure of Africa. Besides, Eric is also a convener of Pan African Builders (PAB) forum, - a community of collaborators on diverse backgrounds to foster mutual growth across the continent by sharing their entrepreneurship journey with others. Eric attended the All Nations University College, Koforidua, Ghana where he obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Development Finance, and Marketing.

Gwenael Nze De Souza

Francophone Lead

Gwenael Nze De Souza is an entrepreneur and the founder of Blockbridge (www.blockbridge.ga) Gwenael has a passion for Blockchain and innovation in Africa, and mentors and advises Gabonese start-ups on strategy and capital raising through Gabon Angels Investor Network www.angelsgabon.ga

Gwenael has an MSc in Telecommunications and Computers Network Engineering from London South Bank University (2012). As a speaker and moderator, he has participated in insightful forums including the Africa Fintech Forum (Ivory Coast, November 2018) and Libreville Fintech Tour (Gabon, April 2021). Gwenael has also been an active contributor to the blockchain ecosystem through various blogs and channels while living in France (Medium, BitcoinTalk, Steemit, Reddit). His company, Blockbridge, is committed to bringing blockchain adoption to Gabon and educate the future generation on the impact of Blockchain technology globally.

Erwin N'GUETTA

Erwin N'GUETTA is a project expert and blockchain specialist who has a vested interest in cryptocurrency and technology. Actually, he is the Deputy Director of the Software Testing Factory of Société Générale Bank for sub saharan Africa where he works on RPA and automation subjects. He is a cryptocurrency and blockchain evangelist  who popularizes those technologies in Côte d'Ivoire.
